The North Carolina Administrative Offices of the Courts, Safe Babies Courts State Advisory Committee, NC Department of Health and Human Services and the Division of Child and Family Wellbeing are bringing Zero to Three’s Safe Babies Court Team Approach to our state! This innovative and evidence-based model for children 0-6 and their caregivers (foster, potential adoptive, kinship, and biological) is beginning in Mitchell, Yancey, New Hanover, Brunswick and Durham counties.

If you are a clinician serving any of these counties and are willing to accept referrals from the Safe Babies Courts Initiative, we invite you to apply for a new Learning Collaborative in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) through the NC Child Treatment Program (NC CTP). Clinicians in this cohort will have the opportunity to receive CPP training with tuition support from the NC Safe Babies Courts Initiative. Deadline for applications is May 15, 2024 by 5:00pm EST.
Child-Parent Psychotherapy is a two-generation (caregiver[s] and child) evidence-based trauma treatment that is able to address child and caregiver trauma and depressive symptoms while simultaneously addressing psychosocial risk factors.
