This 3-hour training provides an in-depth exploration of reflective supervision through the JUST Framework—Judicious Reflection, Understanding Perspective, Shared Dialogue, and Trust in Relationship. Participants will examine how language and relational dynamics influence supervision practices while ensuring sensitivity to different perspectives and fostering meaningful professional relationships.

Through a combination of interactive discussions, breakout activities, and reflective exercises, attendees will gain strategies to navigate complex supervision interactions with mindfulness and intentionality. The training will emphasize the importance of psychological safety, fostering environments where supervisees feel heard, valued, and supported in their professional growth. By engaging in real-world applications and case-based learning, participants will leave with practical tools to enhance communication, leadership, and trust-building within their supervision relationships.

Training Objectives:

By the end of this training, participants will:

  1. Explore the role of language and relational dynamics in reflective supervision, developing awareness of how words shape experiences and relationships.

  2. Enhance their ability to engage in Judicious Reflection, ensuring thoughtful and intentional supervision practices.

  3. Deepen their skills in Understanding Perspective, strengthening their capacity for empathy, active listening, and effective leadership.

  4. Apply Shared Dialogue and Trust-Building strategies to create authentic and psychologically safe supervision environments.
